On the evening of the 14th the
body of Senator Peter Lamy was found
drifting in the shallows of Barmet
Bay. Forensics says that he had been
killed earlier that afternoon by a
gunshot of indeterminate caliber.
Senator Lamy had a charismatic style
and was rumored to be somewhat of a
'ladies man'. The word on the
streets is that there were three
witnesses to the crime but no names
have turned up.

I'm sure I couldn't say.
Well, yes - but just a little .45.
I'd better ask my lawyer.
I was with Double O.
No, it was a female, but not Karen.
Yes, I do.
Yes, a .45 was used.
I was at the Art Show.
No.
I don't have to answer that.
Yes, a .45 was used.
I was keeping an eye on Rose Petal.
A female did it.
No.
Yes.
At the Art Show, where I saw Karen.
Yes, I killed Senator Lamy, but he
deserved it. I had been his lover
ever since he was junior whip but he
was going to dump me for a tarty
little Congressional page. My
position in the Social Resigter would
have plummeted like a fake Gaugin.
It was so easy to slip behind him in
a private room at the Art Show, pull
the .45 out of my voluminous bag and
blast him as he was pretending to
appreciate the finer things in life.
Double O knew nothing of my plan but
he helped me drag the body to my car
in the Art Show basement and dump
poor Peter into the bay.
